Jenn Chernut, Association Executive

Jenn is the current Association Executive for TCRA, a role she took on in April 2024. She loves connecting with members, helping them make the most of TCRA’s three levels of membership benefits, and having a great conversation along the way.

With over 20 years of experience in the world of non-profits and government agencies, Jenn is an award-winning communications pro who knows how to get things done. She’s worn many hats, including Director of Communication and Member Engagement at the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of REALTORS®, Director of Strategic Engagement at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber, and Government Affairs Manager at the National Swimming Pool Foundation. Her passion for grass-roots advocacy also led her to serve as a Military and Veteran Affairs Constituent Services Specialist for US Senator Ken Salazar’s Pikes Peak Regional Offices, and she’s proudly served in various community leadership roles, including as the Mayor of Pawnee Village (yes, really!) and on the City of Tacoma’s events committee.

A proud Sun Devil (go ASU!), Jenn holds a Master's Degree in Communications from Arizona State University, and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Communications and Political Science from the University of Colorado. She’s also a distinguished graduate of both the Western Association of Chamber Executives' (WACE) Academy for Emerging Executives and the Tacoma-Pierce County Leadership Academy.

When Jenn isn’t working, you can find her out in the yard, at an Earth, Wind & Fire concert with her daughter Jamie Rose, or on a nature walk with her rescue dogs Maisie Moo and Noodle D. Poodle. She’s also known to enjoy a good dress-up session, binge-watching The Golden Girls with her BFF Stephen, or having a blast with her love Richard, and bonus kids Jordan and Charlene—whether it’s karaoke, barbecuing, dancing, or watching a scary movie. Life’s too short not to have fun!
