September 2024 President’s Message

Welcome to September my fellow TCRA members! I love the excitement that September
brings each year. With it brings back-to-school, crisp cool fall mornings and green fall grass
that we get to enjoy in our warm afternoons. Although the month tends to fly by as we head
into the last quarter of the year and the weather changes, September always brings such a
breath of fresh air.

Speaking of back-to-school, I want to give a huge thank you and congratulations to our YPN
Committee for putting together a very successful school supply drive and inaugural Corn
Hole Tournament a few weeks ago. The event was sold out for participants and great fun
was had by all of those that attended. In addition to the fun competition our REALTOR®
members donated more than$500 in cash and an SUV full of school supplies to Little Red
School House. It was a great day of coming together to give back to our community.

TCRA has so many wonderful things scheduled for September including our Annual
General Membership meeting this coming Friday the 6th. This meeting will include the
opportunity to hear from those members that are running for open board positions. I want
to thank these REALTOR® members that have stepped up to volunteer to participate in the
leadership of our association. Being in leadership of the association isn’t always easy and I
want to give my heartfelt thanks to these members for their dedication to the future of the
TCRA. Win or lose our association is better for your consideration and involvement in the
election process. Ballots will be sent out electronically so watch for those later this week.

TCRA will also be hosting our 43rd Annual Golf Tournament. Our golf committee has spent
countless hours planning this year’s event. I’m sure that it will be a great time had by all. I
would like to thank our golf committee and our sponsors for their dedication in putting
together a fun day of golf in support of TCRA. Don’t miss out be sure that you sign up to join
us on September 12th. Check out the TCRA Events Calander on our website as we have so
many other events and education opportunities happening in the coming months. You
won’t want to miss out!

Lastly, I want to encourage you attend WA REALTORS® Fall Conference this month in
Kennewick. This is a great opportunity to learn more about WA REALTORS®, get involved in
committees, network with REALTORS® from across the state and hear from those members
running for positions with WA REALTORS®. There is so much that one can gain by attending
conference such as this. Take time and consider collaboration over competition!
