October 2024 President’s Message

Hello TCRA Members -

Welcome to fall!!! WA is such a beautiful place to live, but especially in the fall. In addition
to the crisp mornings and sunny afternoons, I love how we often see an uptick in the market
with Buyers and Sellers wanting to move before the holidays. I believe that what we do now
in our businesses will set us up for greater success in 2025. TCRA has several education
opportunities coming up that could help you in your business. I encourage you to check
out our education calendar and sign up today!

I would like to congratulate those TCRA Leadership candidates that were successful in
obtaining a position on the 2025 Board of Directors. The 2025 slate of candidates was full
of wonderful members willing to step up to support the association, our members and staff
in moving TCRA in a positive direction in our mission in protecting homeownership, ethics
and professionalism within the real estate industry through learning and collaboration. I
sincerely appreciate all the candidates and the Nominations committee for their efforts
with the election process. To the candidates that were not selected please continue with
your commitment to TCRA by attending our events and joining our committees. We need
as many new and old faces as are willing to help leadership navigate the ever-changing real
estate landscape to carry on the success of our association.

We have two important events coming up in October. First on October 9th we have our
Affiliate Showcase event in support of RPAC. This is a great opportunity to show support of
our Affiliates and all that they contribute to our organization and our members. It is always
a fun time! Your registration helps RPAC and includes a great meal catered by Steel Barrel
BBQ. Second on October 23rd we have our DEI event at the HUB in Lacey. Join us for an eyeopening
book reading with renowned author Erin Jones! Dive into practical DEI strategies
designed to elevate your real estate practice and better serve your clients. You can register
for both events through our website.

As I write this letter to you, hurricane Helene has left an aftermath of severe flooding across
Florida, Tennessee and the Carolinas. As REALTORS® do so many have jumped into
assisting communities across these devastated areas. Although this is on the other side of
our country, we can still help by donating to the REALTOR® Relief Fund. RRF assists the
communities of natural disasters throughout the country as they occur. I encourage you to
donate today. You can do so by following the link in this month’s newsletter. Please keep
those impacted by this storm in your thoughts and prayers. The loss of lives, homes and
businesses is heartbreaking.
